Even though it was a massively changed side from Tite, the win was a first on many fronts. It was the first time that an African country had beaten Brazil at the World Cup. It was also the first goal the Selecao had conceded in Qatar.

It wasn’t just enough to take Cameroon through, as Switzerland vs Serbia match did not go as planned. But Aboubakar and his teammates celebrated the goal proudly that he got sent off for taking off his shirt.

Apart from taking off his shirt, Aboubakar hit a series of celebrations that have been made famous by arguably two of the best-ever footballers, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Indomitable Lions captain lifted his shirt up and showed his number 10 to the fans.

Messi is synonymous with this celebration which he did on April 23rd 2017, after scoring a last-minute winner against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.

He then did the Ronaldo celebration of clasping your hands in the chest area and looking up as if you are meditating.

Aboubakar was thereafter sent off by a smiling centre referee Ismail Efath for taking his shirt off.
